Anonymous: Please carry again Organic Valley Cream without carrageenan…Bad Stuff!
Amber: We actually do carry this product. It is to the right of the Organic Valley Heavy Whipping Cream that has carrageenan. If you need help locating it, just ask one of our friendly staff members.

Mike:

Paul: Thanks for doing such a great job! I really appreciate the quality of your food, and the awesome attitude of your employees….ONF is the best.
Please focus on the Co-op meusli in the bulk dept. I’ve mentioned this to a few employees – but there’s never too much overkill, right? The meusli is a signature and “go to” item. It’s priced right and is very nutritious. I was told that the new staff wasn’t aware of the popularity – hence the week or so outage. Please also blend the ingredients thoroughly and include each listed ingredient (i.e. almonds, cashews, spelt, etc.) The current batch of Co-op meusli isn’t really the same product at all. There are several “signature products” which truly give your store its’ identity. Sky’s salsa, the store juice blends, and a few others. Keep the quality and recipes up!
Amber: I’ve gotten several complaints about the museli this past week. When I asked the bulk buyer, who is the one tasked with making it, he said he went by the recipe but that some of the items were crossed out so he thought they didn’t go in the mix anymore. He’s only been in his position for about a month so he didn’t know. Anyway, after we found out what happened he had to order more product to make more. So that is the lag time from the time we started getting complaints to now. Making new museli is a top priority before the buyer leaves today so hopefully we’ll have it the next time you come in.
Thanks for letting us know. Otherwise I would have never even known there was a problem.

Julia: I am absolutely thrilled about earlier opening hours. Longtime Dream!
Mike: Thanks for sharing with us your feelings about our new extended hours. As you may already know, this is a trial period. We plan to keep these new extended hours through March and then re-evaluate. So far, the feedback has been very positive.

Keith: Gluten free pizza crust is not good. Whole wheat crust is to thick – Would like crispy crust.
Rachel: I am so sorry that you have not been happy with our Pizza in A la Carte. I would like to offer you a lunch on us. Please come in and speak with me directly so we can discuss the pizza further.

Trella: I so appreciate ONF! The specials are helpful, the staff is great and I could not survive without you. Thank you.
Owen: Yay! Thanks so much for the kind words, Trella! We appreciate YOU!

Paul: More Cowbell!
Alyssa: Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription . . . is more cowbell!
Thank you for your request. It will be taken into account in choosing the radio stations we play in the store.

Ed and Marie: More days open for feed store.
Pauline: Dear Ed and Marie, we are wanting to expand the days and times that the feed store is open and as the business grows our plan is to open the store for more days during the week. While we work to that point we are keeping a selection of the bagged feed in our vestibule upstairs and if you are in a pinch any of the produce employees can unlock the feed store and weigh out a few pounds for you. We thank you for your support and interest in our organic feed, this need is what caused us to open the feed store and as we gain more supporter and shoppers we will add hours and days open. Also please feel free to mention to Michael Brillhart, our Farm and Garden supervisor, or myself, what other days/times you would prefer as we consider expansion. He can be reached at farm@onf.coop or I can be reached at pauline@onf.coop. Thank you for your suggestion,

James: We really like the new earlier hours!
Mike: Thanks for sharing with us your feelings about our new extended hours. As you may already know, this is a trial period. We plan to keep these new extended hours through March and then re-evaluate. So far, the feedback has been very positive.

Briana: I <3 ONF because…it smells good in here. :)
Mike: Please know that every staff member hears each of these. Every “I Heart ONF” card is read in our daily meetings and at The Big Game on Tuesday afternoon. I speak for the entire staff when I say that we absolutely love to hear your compliments. Thank you so much for telling us what you like about your co-op.

Jeremy: I <3 ONF because…the new hours let me get food on the way to take the kids to school.
Mike: Please know that every staff member hears each of these. Every “I Heart ONF” card is read in our daily meetings and at The Big Game on Tuesday afternoon. I speak for the entire staff when I say that we absolutely love to hear your compliments. Thank you so much for telling us what you like about your coop.

Anonymous: Always stock the house made bottled ranch. And then keep it in the same location.
Rachel: We have found a permanent home for the ranch! Our Ranch dressing now lives in the produce department next to the cut veggies. I am happy that you like our dressing!

1.11.14
Anonymous: Dr. Ben Ozanne is not on the Board. Please keep it that way!
Lisa: As an owner you get to vote on who you would like to be on the Board of Directors. The three candidates with the most votes from the ownership will be our newly elected 2014 Board of Directors. Let your voice be heard through your vote! 

1.13.14
Anonymous: Please put carts back in the middle so they don’t pile up at the exit.
Lindsay: Hey there! We’ve been noticing the pile up as well, so we’ve discussed getting a cart corral outside the exit door. Thanks so much for your suggestion!

1.13.14
Keith: Could we go to dispenser on all bulk to avoid hands in the bins.
Amber: We totally agree with your sentiments about the bulk bins. We have signs posted in the bulk department but it doesn’t always detour people. We’re interested in redesigning the bulk department in 2015. Keep in mind this isn’t something that has been approved or even entered any kind of planning. However, as we move forward, I will keep your suggestion in mind. We may not be able to eliminate all scoop bins but we can try to find other methods of keeping hands out of the bins. Thank you so much for your suggestion, Keith!

1.13.14
Ya Gurl: I <3 ONF because…yall doin jus fine.

Arden: I <3 ONF because…the food bar (esp. salads) is very excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ambiance is very high quality. I frequently visit ONF.
Rachel: Thank you so much, Arden! I really appreciate you taking the time to let us know!

1.15.14
Arden: Please get more short carts so I can use one.
Lindsay: I told Arden we plan on ordering more double decker carts this year. She said she appreciates it so much. The majority of the time she comes in she doesn’t buy much and she likes to sit in our deli area to eat and it doesn’t take up as much space. She was very appreciative!

1.15.14
Susanna: I <3 ONF because…. There is nowhere else in town where I can get the incredible selection of organic/vegan/gluten free/local foods. The staff is so knowledgeable! Even though I have been studying this stuff for several decades, I still come to you with questions.

Connie: How about an introduction to the new product (shitake mushrooms in dried and ground form in a shaker) and an article about Sweden Creek Farms in the Nutshell.
Pauline: Hi Connie, I have been thinking about featuring the new products since we got them and writing something up for our blog, facebook, or weekly newsletter so thanks for giving me a nudge. I especially like the powder and have found it to be super convenient for adding to some of my usual recipes. For the Nutshell we do spotlights on different farms each edition and I will pass on that part to our marketing department. We did feature Sweden Creek in the documentary we produced called “Ozark Grown,” where you can see parts of the farm and learn a little about the process of farming in the Ozarks. This particular product though is brought to us by Craig Family Farm, a new farming family we are happy to begin working with, though the shitakes do still originally come from Sweden Creek. Thanks for your enthusiasm for the local dried and fresh mushrooms Connie, and it’s always great to see you in the store.

1.17.14
Colene: Please move bulk pet food from bottom to higher shelf.
Avril: Thank you so much for your suggestion! We agree, the bulk pet foods could be a little easier to access. We are planning on resetting this section to move the bulk pet foods up, but it will take us a little time to prepare and execute the project. Thanks again, and keep an eye out for the updated bulk pet foods section.

1.18.14
Marietta: I <3 ONF because….you brought back Puroast decaf low acid coffee.
Amber: We’re so glad we could make you happy! Thanks for letting us know.

1.18.14
Barabra: Not sure if the hours are going to be viable but I’d appreciate it if you’d consider the 7 am opening at least during the market season (April through November). Call if you want to discuss further.
Mike: Thanks for sharing with us your feelings about our new extended hours. As you may already know, this is a trial period. We plan to keep these new extended hours through March and then re-evaluate. So far, the feedback has been very positive.

Jeff: Bathrooms are one for men and two for women. Should be for both.
Mike: I spoke with Mr. Conner. He expressed that he understands why we do this, but he exercises proper bathroom etiquette and wouldn’t leave a dirty bathroom for someone else. Why can’t we expect that from everyone?
We try to keep the lines for the bathroom moving as quickly as possible. That is why we give women the option of using the Men’s Room if they would like. Unfortunately, many of our customers are not as conscientious as Mr. Conner. We do bathroom checks several times a day; and the fact is that the toilet seat in the Men’s Room is rarely raised. We don’t think it’s fair to ask our women customers to be subjected to that every time they would like to use the rest room.
However, we have been discussing expanding our restroom space. It is our hope to double the size of restrooms in the near future and go from single-user bathrooms to multi-user bathrooms with stalls.

1.20.14
Barbara: Low vision cannot drive. Would you consider delivery service?
Lisa: The idea of a delivery service is something we have discussed doing at some point in the future. If we were to decide to invest into a delivery truck it would be several years from now after much research. I have passed your suggestion on to our Board President. Thank you for your suggestion!

1.21.14
Kayte: I am a student for massage therapy at the Edge School of Massage. I visted your store on Tuesday and after being an owner here for two years would love to be considered while I’m receiving education I hope to use to improve lives of this community. Thank you!
Heather: Hey Kayte! My name is Heather and I am the Outreach Coordinator for ONF. I received your suggestion and wanted to make sure you were talking about coming into the store to do massages. It is a very simple process to set up. If you contact me with a date and time you would like come set up we can get it arranged for you. I am attaching a Visitor’s Policy for you to look over as well.

1.22.14
Zephyr: Please get a nice pad of train stickers.
Alexa: I called the customer to get clarification, but have not heard back.

1.22.14
Jim: It would be nice if knife sharpening could be reinstated.
Heather: Hey Jim! Thank you so much for your suggestion, we are currently looking into finding a knife sharpener to come to the store.

1.22.14
Ginny: I <3 ONF because…smooth jazz played all Wednesday evening. So nice to work to. Keep it comin’!

1.23.14
Don: I’m evolving toward veganism. Could you list ingredients for items on the hot bar/salad bar so I can determine if they’re within my needs.
Rachel: I will go through all the signs to make sure they list ingredients. On the Hot Bar, we do list ingredients but I think some salad bar signs need ingredient lists.

1.24.14
Patrica: I <3 ONF because…Thank you for lowering the per pound price of red, yellow, and orange peppers. They are now accessible. THANK YOU!! That’s a great move.
Pauline: Patricia, we are glad to hear you are excited about the current price of bell peppers, thanks for the note.

Anna: O.K. guys & gales, I’ve been an owner since 2006. I am angry at the amount of items out-of-stock when they happen to be on sale. I am very disappointed at the shell game with the items as well. After nearly 2 mo. of finding what I want or need to be OOS or just plain gone, I realized that I don’t want to be here more than I have to be. I used to love this place, but I am burning through that feeling pretty quick. I have worked natural food retail in the past. I know things change, but these changes are simply too many. I would hate to feel that the Co-op has become a Walmart in its business model, but it’s beginning to look that way on the ground. Please fix this.
Mike: I spoke with Anna about this problem. I also explained that we too are very frustrated with the number of Out Of Stocks lately. We recently switched UNFI warehouses, and now pull from Lancaster, TX. In the long run, this warehouse will be extremely beneficial. It is much larger than our prior warehouse, the food has less distance to travel to get to us and the selection is much greater. Unfortunately, the transition has not been very smooth. I don’t want to get into the specifics of our disappointments in this move, other than to explain that we believed that we would have a lot of help on their side identifying which products would no longer be available and with finding replacement for them.
I understand how frustrating this has been. I assure you that our Grocery team is working as hard as they can to weed out the products that are no longer available, get the new products into our system as quickly as possible and get them on our shelves.
I would love to say that this will go away in the next few days. But, that’s just not the case. I believe that you will see great improvement this week over last. Next week will be a little better than this, and the following week will be a little better than that. We appreciate your patience with this process, and I hope you are looking forward to the expanded availability that we will see in the months to come.

Theresa: Until now the crunchy and smooth peanut butter were the same price – would mix them because the crunchy is too crunchy and the smooth is too smooth – mixed they were perfect. Now the crunchy is $2 more per lb! I hope you can get the crunchy back to the smooth price.

1.26.14
Krista: I <3 ONF because… you have new store hours. Opening up at 7 is great. I am able to stop in and grab breakfast or get stuff for lunch for the day.
Mike: Thanks for sharing with us your feelings about our new extended hours. As you may already know, this is a trial period. We plan to keep these new extended hours through March and then re-evaluate. So far, the feedback has been very positive.

1.26.13
Terri: I’m told you aren’t carrying Phil’s Eggs anymore – now the alternative back there is almost double the price! Fromt $1.99 to $3.39. I hope you will go back! Very frustrating when lower cost option is taken away.

1.26.14
Elise: It would be helpful to have signs for products that contain the active forms of folic acid and B12 (Methyl) for people who can’t process folic acid and regular B12. Examples: Methyl Cobalan by Source Naturals, Emerald Labs Coenzymated B, Biotech Multi, and folic acid-free cereals, breads, and crackers. Googl MTHFR to see why. Thanks!

1.26.14
Anonymous: Why would you undercut $2 local struggling local organic juice bars? By selling that plastic San Diego “Suja” crap?

1.27.14
Joanne: I made this suggestion before and you took action. Now the problem is back. You have a stinky soap display next to the coffee and food buffet. All you can smell is stinky soap and not fresh coffee or ready made food.

1.27.14
Kimberly: I just wanted to say “Thank You!” to Heather Artripe at Ozark Natural Foods for the cooking on a budget class last night. This was my first time attending a class at ONF and I learned some great tasting , nutritious, and affordable recipes that I will be incorporating in our household. Thank You Heather!
Heather: Aw, thank you so much! I had a blast teaching that class. The dishes we made are some of my absolute favorites and I make them quite often! If you ever have any questions just let me know!
