Mike joined the staff at Ozark Natural Foods in 2006 as our Retail Manager, was the Store Manager for several years and is now the General Manager. Mike worked for Trader Joe’s in California, and brings to our Co-op a new level of expertise in merchandising, product mix, and store operations.
Gary Cook

Gary started as the Co-op’s bookkeeper in 2003, and became the Co-op’s Finance Manager in 2006. Gary has been instrumental in our Co-op’s efforts to purchase the building that we currently occupy. Gary also administers our retirement benefits.

Hi, I’m Jerry Huddleston, and I am the Human Resources Manager at Ozark Natural Foods. I am a graduate of John Brown University, with a Bachelors in Science in Organizational Management. I have been the Human Resources Manager since December 2000. My job is to ensure that our staff members have the resources they need to best serve our owners. I have been an owner of Ozark Natural Foods since 1993, and since I started working at the Co-op in December 2000, I have lost almost 80 pounds and have kept that weight off for over a decade. It is amazing what good, healthy food will do for you. I am happily married to my wife, Kim, since 1997, and we have a daughter, Hannah, who just graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas. Our family has two wiener dogs and a pit bull, two cats, and two frogs.

I graduated with a Graphic Design and Photography degree from John Brown University in May 2010, and began working at the Co-op several weeks later as the Marketing Director. I fell in love with marketing during my senior year of college while taking a couple classes in the Business division at JBU. I love finding out what drives people to purchase things and how to connect with consumers on a different level. When I’m not at the Co-op, I’m probably hanging out with my amazing husband, Jarrett, and our fun-loving Yorkie named Cosmo! I love to play basketball and golf, watch movies, and cook!

I joined the co-op in 2006 as the Grocery Manager. I have over 20 years experience in the retail world. I love my job and all of the people I interact with on a daily basis. I am a proud father of three beautiful girls and a humble husband of my better half. I enjoy cooking, fishing, and spending time with my family. Pauline Thiessen
Produce Manager

Pauline has been the produce manager for Ozark Natural Foods Cooperative in Fayetteville, AR for the past 3 years and has been employed at ONF for 12 years. She works as the liaison with the co-op’s local farmers. She is chair of the ONF farmer’s committee; Producer of the documentary Ozark Grown; secretary and board member for Ozark Slow Foods; certifying agent for the Certified Naturally Grown program; manager of Ozark Natural Feeds, the only organic feed store for livestock and poultry in Arkansas; a member of the Producer’s Grant committee and the Limited Resource Farmer/Minority Outreach Farmer committee on the Administrative Council for the Southern Sustainable Research and Education Program; participates on the produce advisory committee for the National Cooperative Grocers Association; is a small scale dairy goat and chicken producer/farmer; is majoring in Spanish and minoring in Latin American Studies at the University of Arkansas; and is the drummer for two bands, Womanimal and The Real Live Vikings. In her spare time she likes to camp, hike, canoe, can produce, make wine, ferment foods, and play with her dog, Sadie May.

I am Rachel McDonald and I have been the Deli Manager for the past 2 years. I started working at Ozark Natural Foods 7 years ago as the sandwich bar girl. I have taken on many duties over the years including Deli Data Coordinator, Cheese Buyer, and Front Line Supervisor. I am very happy to serve our co-op as our Deli Manager. In my spare time, I love to cook, read, and sunbathe. I am an amateur bread baker at home. My favorite go to recipes include Pad Thai, Emeril Lagasse’s Chevre Quesadillas with Pico and Guacamole, Baked Pasta with whatever cheeses I have on hand, and Poached Eggs. I tend to read too much Non Fiction and geek out on True Crime stories. I hope to serve the Co-op for many more years to come!

Wellness Manager

I started working at Ozark Natural Foods in 2004 making juices and sandwiches in the Deli. Since then, I have worn many hats, including Front End Manager, Owner Services Director and now Wellness Manager. I love how my department keeps me on my toes – there are always new products and information to learn. In my spare time, I make jewelry and dabble in various other art forms. My boyfriend and I are also expecting our first child in August. It’s a girl!

Lisa started working at Ozark Natural Foods in early 2008 as a Front End Supervisor. She was promoted to Front End Manager in May of 2010 and since her promotion, the Front End has been setting an example of excellent customer service. She is excited to continue to come up with new and exciting things for the Front End!
